Congress leader Shashi Tharoor has sought a letter to PM Narendra Modi expressing his dissent over the FIR filed against the 49 celebrities for their open letter regarding the growing incidents of mob violence. In a 2-page letter, Tharoor has urged the Prime Minister to take a public assuring the country of his commitment in upholding freedom of expression irrespective of the disagreement with his government.
