The Guwahati Police successfully busted a plot to assassinate Assam Finance minister Himanta Biswa Sarma by arresting a pro-talk ULFA leader along with two others. The pro-talk ULFA leader who has been held by the police has been identified as United Liberation Front of Asom leader Pradip Gogoi. According to a top police officer, "Gogoi and others were conspiring to assassinate the Assam minister."
