According to industry and government sources, Indian palm oil buyers have stopped purchasing from Malaysia after being warned by the government, following a diplomatic spat between the two countries. The spat took place after the Malaysian Prime Minister criticized India’s move on Kashmir and Citizenship amendment law. Officially no ban has been imposed on crude palm oil but no one is buying due to Government’s instructions.
