More than 600 protestors have been detained over an unauthorised protest in the Russian capital, Moscow after authorities disqualified a number of opposition candidates from standing in local elections. Leading activists Lyubov Sobol was as well arrested before she could reach the rally. A video emerged where officers used batons against protestors while making arrests. Russian officials stated that only 30 were arrested.
