NITI Ayog suggests selling of only electric vehicles after 2030

The NITI Aayog suggested the cabinet that after 2030, only electric vehicles should be seen on the roads in India. According to the think tank, this initiative will increase the scope of clean fuel technology beyond 2-and 3-wheelers in the land. Earlier a panel headed by NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant recommended that solely EV with engine capacity of up to 150 cc should be sold from 2025 onwards.
