Nirmala Sitharaman says Congress misleading people on wilful defaulters’ list

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Tuesday said Rahul Gandhi has “attempted to mislead people in a brazen manner” in connection with the list of wilful defaulters given by the Reserve Bank Of India in response to an RTI query. Sitharaman accused the Congress of “sensationalising facts by taking them out of context”. Sitharaman said: “Upon full provisioning being done, banks continue to pursue recovery against the borrower.”
