Maximum social media content take down requests made by Indian govt

Comparitech, a UK-based technology research firm has confirmed that even before finalizing policies to control social media content, the govt has already tried to control it. According to their data, total 3.9 lakhs requests to remove social media contents were made among which the Indian govt made 19.86% requests, the highest in the world. Russia came a close second with 19.75% requests. Turkey stands in the 3rd position.
