Lok Janshakti Party’s Tripura president held over allegations of forgery and cheating

Rupam Kar, the President of Lok Janshakti Party, has been arrested in connection with the charges of forgery and cheating. 25-year-old Kar was held after one of his clients submitted fake documents for opening a foreign liquor shop in the West District. Rupam's house was raided by a crime branch team of Tripura police led by DSP Ajay Kumar Das. Forged documents, government stamps and other things were recovered in the raid.
