Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan, Speaker named in Gold smuggling case

In what could prompt a massive uproar against the incumbent Left Democratic Front (LDF) government in Kerala, Swapna Suresh, the kingpin in the gold smuggling case, has told the Customs Department that CM Pinarayi Vijayan, Speaker P Sreeramakrishnan and 3 cabinet ministers were also involved in the smuggling. As per Swapna, she acted as a mediator between Vijayan and the Consulate General and the CM received crores as commission.
