To check further unrest and mass demonstrations in the semi-autonomous Chinese city of Hong Kong the government has indefinitely suspended the China extradition bill. Chief Executive Carrie Lam announced the news on June 15th. The proposed bill would allow the authorities to send criminal suspects for trials in mainland China. It came after a mass protest was expected on Sunday amid fears of more violence.
