Govt launches 3rd cleanliness survey

Urban Affairs Minister Narendra Singh Tomar launched the 3rd cleanliness survey 'Swachh Survekshan-2018' to rank 4,041 cities and towns in the country with a revised methodology. The 4041 cities will be ranked on 71 sanitation related parameters such as collection, transportation, and disposal of garbage, construction of toilets linked to water supply, sweeping, etc. It is the 1st such pan-India exercise and is the largest in the world, Tomar said.
