Government bans single-use plastic inside monuments & 100 metres of them

On Gandhi Jayanti, tourism minister Prahlad Patel announced that single-use plastic will not be allowed on the premises of historical monuments and within 100m of them. The decision comes after Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed to the masses to shin single-use plastics. However, officials have stated that the govt has shelved to plan to outlaw single-use plastics on the 150th anniversary of the birth of Mahatma Gandhi.
