Nanjil A Murugesan, the former AIADMK MLA has been arrested by the police for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor. The politician was taken into custody by police from farmland near Thisaiyanvilai in Kanniyakumari district. Murugesan has been accused of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl back in 2017. Three other men Paul (66), Ashok Kumar (43) and Karthik (28), and the girl's mother have also been arrested.
