Dramatic rise in children trafficking, 9,034 children trafficked in India in 2016

The Kailash Satyarthi Children's Foundation said that children trafficking in India has increased dramatically and 9,034 children were trafficked in 2016 alone which was 3,905 in 2015. These children come from poor and rural background and fall prey to the perpetrators easily. The data is alarming and there is an urgent need to combat the organized trafficking in this country, said the Delhi legal service officials.
