Former US President Donald Trump has filed a lawsuit against the congressional committee investigating the January 6 Capitol Riots, in an attempt to block the release of documents related to the violence. He said in the lawsuit that the committee's request was almost limitless in scope. The lawsuit was filed by Trump in federal court in the District of Columbia while calling the committee's request a vexatious expedition.
