Singapore's parliament has passed laws to combat 'fake news' that allows authorities to order the removal of content despite fierce criticism from tech giants, the media & rights groups. Minister now has the power to order social media sites like Facebook & Twitter to put warnings next to posts authorities deem to be false & in extreme cases take them down.
