Chinmayanand arrested by UP police in rape case

A special team of UP police arrested BJP leader Chinmayanand on September 20 at 9 am in the rape case, after being accused by a 23-year-old law student. The police took him for medical examination before presenting him in front of the magistrate. However, he has not been charged for rape but for threat and extortion. The arrest came three days ahead of the Allahabad High Court hearing in the case.
