Budget 2022: KAWACH technology to cover 2000 km of rail network

Minister Nirmala Sitharaman while presenting the budget on February 1, announced that the world-class technology ‘KAWACH,’ will include 2,000 km of rail network. She also said that 400 new `Vande Bharat` trains will be manufactured in the next three years. `Kawach` is an indigenously developed anti-collision device to prevent accidents to achieve railways its goal of zero accidents.
