Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Roopa Ganguly was arrested on Thursday and taken to the Kolkata Police Headquarters, Lalbazar. The arrest followed her peaceful dharna at the Bansdroni Police Station, where she was protesting against the death of a schoolboy in Bansdroni. The boy had tragically lost his life after being struck by an excavator in Kolkata's Bansdroni area.
