After the landslide victory of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Bhagwant Mann took oath as the 18th Chief Minister of Punjab. The oath was administered by Punjab Governor Banwari Lal Purohit. The ceremony was held at Khatkar Kalan, the ancestral village of freedom fighter Bhagat Singh. Delhi Chief Minister and AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal was seen accompanying him at the venue.
