Approval for extension of metro line in Delhi

Delhi’s union cabinet, headed by Ravi Shankar Prasad, has passed a proposal to extend the Delhi Metro line from Noida city center to Noida sector 62. The extension project of 6.67 kilometres would be implemented by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation and would cost Rs. 1967 crore, of which the center would share Rs. 340.60 crore on grants and subordinate debts. The DMRC has started to recruit 200 employees for the same.
