In a major setback to the Congress Party, former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has declared that he will soon form his new party. The former CM also said that he will consider a "seat arrangement" with the BJP and breakaway Akali groups ahead of next year's assembly elections. Mr. Singh said he will form an alliance with the BJP if the ongoing farmers' protest is resolved in the interest of farmers.
