Al Qaeda works closely with Lashkar, claims UN report

According to a UN report, Al-Qaeda remains resilient, and it works closely with the Lashkar-e-Taiba terror outfit along with the Haqqani Network. The sanctions monitoring teams of UN submit independent reports every six months and this information was revealed in the 24th report. It also said that Al-Qaeda continues to treat Afghanistan as its safe-haven due to its long-standing strong relationship with the Taliban.
