Air India stake sale called off for now

The govt is not going ahead with the Air India 76% strategic stake sale for now and has decided to provide the required fund to it. Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has announced this decision, 3 weeks after the National carrier failed to attract any bidder for its stake sale. The airline will now focus on improving operational efficiency and govt is trying to turn the company into a profit-making one.
