Additional troops sent to Kashmir in light of major terror attack threat by Pak-based terrorist groups

Pak-based terrorist groups are plotting to carry out a major terror attack in Kashmir. After receiving these inputs, NSA Ajit Doval reviewed the security situation in Kashmir. The govt felt the need to deploy extra troops in that area owing to the assessment by the NSA. The centre decided to deploy 100 more companies of paramilitary forces in J&K, which refuelled rumours about impending abrogation of articles 35A & 370.
