Soumitra Chatterjee, a legendary Indian actor best known for his collaborations with Oscar-winning director Satyajit Ray, died on November 15 from Covid complications. On October 6, the 85-year-old actor was admitted to a hospital in Kolkata after testing positive for the virus.
