Karan Kumar Johar, better known as KJo, is a film filmmaker and producer who was born in 1972.
Karan Kumar Johar (born Rahul Kumar Johar on May 25, 1972) is an Indian film director, producer, screenwriter, costume designer, actor, and television personality who works mostly in Hindi films. He is the son of producer Yash Johar and Hiroo Johar. Johar made his directorial debut with the popular romance Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), for which he received Filmfare Awards for Best Director and Best Screenplay. Johar began his career in the entertainment sector as an actor, portraying Shrikant in the Doordarshan serial Indradhanush in 1989. He was influenced by commercial Indian movies as a kid.
