Goofy, alias Dippy Dawg, first appears in Walt Disney's 'Mickey's Revue' in 1932.

He is a tall, anthropomorphic dog that usually wears a turtle neck and vest, as well as slacks, shoes, white gloves, and a tall hat that was initially planned as a rumpled fedora. Goofy made his debut in Mickey's Revue, which was released on May 25, 1932. This short, directed by Wilfred Jackson, has Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Horace Horsecollar, and Clarabelle Cow doing yet another song and dance routine. By this point, Mickey and his pals' animated cartoons usually included song and dance routines. Dippy Dawg, as he was affectionately referred to the Disney artists, was a member of the audience. He angered his fellow viewers by noisily crunching peanuts and laughing loudly, until two of them knocked him out with their mallets.
