Cyclone Tauktae makes landfall in the Indian state of Gujarat in 2021, with winds of up to 160km/h.
As it rushed over the coastal states of Kerala, Karnataka, Goa, and Maharashtra, the storm left a path of damage in its wake. Myanmar labelled it a tropical cyclone. It translates to 'gecko,' an extremely loud reptile, in Burmese. Tauktae is the fourth cyclone to form in the Arabian Sea in four years, all during the pre-monsoon season.
