SpaceX is the creator of Starship as well as a commercial space enterprise best known for its International Space Station flights. Elon Musk launched SpaceX in 2002 with the purpose of lowering space transportation costs in order to allow Mars settlement. SpaceX develops the Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy launch vehicles, as well as multiple rocket engines, the Cargo Dragon, crew spacecraft, and Starlink communications satellites. Musk began looking for employees for his new space firm, SpaceX, in early 2002. Musk approached rocket engineer Tom Mueller and offered him to join his company. Mueller agreed to join Musk's team, and so SpaceX was created.
