Fergie Duhamel (born Stacy Ann Ferguson on March 27, 1975) is a singer and songwriter from the United States. She originally rose to prominence as a member of the hip hop group the Black Eyed Peas. Her first solo album, The Dutchess (2006), was a financial triumph, with three Billboard Hot 100 number one singles: "London Bridge," "Glamorous," and "Big Girls Don't Cry." She does not consider herself a rapper, despite vocally incorporating rapping into some of her performances. Fergie was a part of the children's television show Kids Incorporated as well as the female group Wild Orchid. She quit the group in 2001 and joined the Black Eyed Peas the following year. She collaborated on two albums with the Black Eyed Peas before releasing her debut solo album.
