Shreya Ghoshal, often known as Shreya Ghosal, is a playback singer from India. She sang in Bollywood, regional films, and Indian soap operas such as Kasturi. She has also performed songs in Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil, and Telugu, in addition to Hindi. Shreya Ghoshal is the daughter of a Bengali brahmin household. She grew up in Rawatbhata, a tiny village in Rajasthan near Kota. She won the children's special edition of Zee TV's Sa Re Ga Ma contest when she was a youngster. She is the only playback singer to have received four out of five nominations for best playback vocalist for her songs in the 2008 IIFA Awards.
