Sunil Kumar, born 11 January 1966, was a member of India's 14th Lok Sabha, representing the Jamshedpur seat in the eastern state of Jharkhand. He was the General Secretary of the political party Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM). He was killed by Naxalite insurgents with Communist sympathies. Mahato served as the General Secretary of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha political organisation. In the 2004 general election, he was elected to the Lok Sabha; the BJP's Abha Mahato finished in second.
