India's draught resolution was then approved by a record 177 member nations. Yoga is a physical, mental, and spiritual discipline that originated in India. Yoga is derived from Sanskrit and means to connect or merge, representing the unity of body and awareness. The International Day of Yoga strives to enhance global awareness of the numerous advantages of yoga practise.
