In the year 1667, The first blood transfusion involving a human being was performed
A human blood transfusion is accomplished for the first time. Although some sources credit Englishman Richard Lower with executing the first human blood transfusion, Jean-Baptiste Denys, personal physician of France's Louis XIV, is largely acknowledged with performing the first human blood transfusion. What is unarguable is the year, 1667, and the patient, a 15-year-old boy who had been bled so severely by his doctor that he required a blood infusion.
