Ajinkya Madhukar Rahane (born June 6, 1988) is a former captain of the Indian national cricket team across all formats. In Test cricket, he is primarily a middle-order batsman, while in white-ball cricket, he is a top-order batsman. He was also the India national cricket team's vice-captain in Tests until the home series against New Zealand in 2021, when he was removed. He plays domestic cricket for Mumbai and IPL cricket for Kolkata Knight Riders.
