Lawrence Gene David is an American comedian, writer, actor, director, and television producer who was born on July 2, 1947. David was the head writer and executive producer for the first seven seasons of the television sitcom Seinfeld, which he co-created with Jerry Seinfeld. He gained even more fame as the creator and star of the HBO series Curb Your Enthusiasm, in which he plays a semi-fictionalized version of himself. Since the pilot episode in 1999, he has written or co-written every episode's story.
