SpaceX's Falcon Heavy, the world's most powerful operational rocket, launched its maiden commercial mission from Florida on Thursday, in a critical showcase for billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk's space business in the fight for lucrative military launch contracts. The 23-story-tall Heavy, which previously propelled Musk's cherry red Tesla roadster to orbit in a 2018 maiden test flight, lifted off from Florida's Kennedy Space Center with its first customer cargo.
