Rock On!! is a 2008 Indian Hindi-language musical drama film written and directed by Abhishek Kapoor, produced by Farhan Akhtar, and scored by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. Akhtar and Prachi Desai make a successful Bollywood debut with this film. Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Luke Kenny, and Purab Kohli play members of the Mumbai-based grunge rock band "Magik" (formed in 1998), who reunite in 2008. Rock On!! won seven Filmfare Awards but performed poorly at the box office. Inspired by the critically acclaimed South Korean film 'A Happy Life.' The film was archived at the Academy Film Archive library.
