In 1955, NBC broadcast the first color television broadcast of a Davis Cup tennis match!
NBC made history yet again in 1955 when they broadcast the first color tennis match (US vs. Australia).
The US Nationals was the first broadcast on NBC in 1952 and continued until 1964. Among the commentators during this time period were Bud Palmer, Jack Kramer, Lindsey Nelson, Don Budge, Bill Stern, and Bill Talbert.
