2006 Pluto is Declassified as a Planet

The International Astronomical Union (IAU) reduced Pluto's classification to a "dwarf planet" in August 2006. As a result, only the rocky planets in the inner Solar System and the gas giants in the outer Solar System will be referred to as planets moving forward.
