Anusha Rizvi, who is making her directorial debut, wrote and directed the film, which was made by Aamir Khan Productions. Omkar Das Manikpuri, a member of the Naya Theatre company, is among the cast, along with Naseeruddin Shah, Raghubir Yadav, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Shalini Vatsa, Malaika Shenoy, and a number of newcomers. UTV Motion Pictures' Peepli Live, which was released on August 13th, 2010.
