Arijit Singh (born April 25, 1987) is an Indian singer-composer. He primarily sings in Hindi and Bengali, but he has also performed in a number of other Indian languages. He has received a National Award as well as a record six Filmfare Awards. He is frequently cited as one of the best singers in the Indian and Pakistani music industries, and he has a large fan base across South Asia. He is also referred to as the "King of Playback Singing." Singh began his career in 2005, when he appeared on the popular reality show Fame Gurukul.
