Amber Laura Heard (born April 22, 1986) is a film and television actress from the United States. Heard had her first starring role in the 2006 horror film All the Boys Love Mandy Lane, after a series of small roles. She rose to prominence as a supporting actress in the films Never Back Down and Pineapple Express. Heard first appeared in the DC Extended Universe in 2017 as Atlantean queen Mera in the superhero films Justice League, Aquaman, and Zack Snyder's Justice League. Heard has been a global spokesperson for the cosmetics company L'Oréal Paris since 2018. She is also a human rights activist.
