Saqib Saleem Qureshi, born 8 April 1988, is a Hindi film actor and model. Before beginning his film career, he worked as a model. Saleem began appearing in advertisements after relocating to Mumbai. While doing television commercials, he developed an interest in films and began auditioning for film roles, eventually signing a two-film deal as an actor with Y-Films, a subsidiary of Yash Raj Films (YRF). Saleem made his acting debut in the 2011 romantic comedy Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge, which was a box-office success. He received praise for his performance in the film and was nominated for a Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut.
