Vishal Veeru Devgan (born 2 April 1969) is an Indian actor, film director, and producer better known as Ajay Devgn. He's been in over a hundred Hindi films. Devgn has received a slew of awards, including two National Film Awards and four Filmfare Awards. The Padma Shri, India's fourth-highest civilian honour, was bestowed to him by the government in 2016. Devgan was born into a Punjabi family from Amritsar. The family has ties to Mumbai's Hindi film business. Veeru Devgan, Devgn's father, was a stunt choreographer and action-film director, and Veena, Devgn's mother, is a film producer. Anil Devgan, his brother, is a director and screenwriter. Devgn attended Mithibai College after graduating from Silver Beach High School in Juhu.
