The top Indian Army official representing the five Southern States visited Tamil Nadu’s Nilgiri district on Monday to personally thank and felicitate the first responders, Government machinery, and locals who risked life and limb to conduct search and rescue at the Mi-17 V5 chopper crash site. The chopper carrying Chief of Defence Staff Gen Bipin Rawat, his wife and 12 others had crashed on December 8.
