The Special Investigative Team court has announced that Yakub Pataliya is sentenced with life imprisonment in the 2002 Godhra train carnage case on Wednesday whereas the court has acquitted 3 others. Yakub was one of the most wanted accused in the 2002 Sabarmati Express burning case. He was arrested by the Gujarat Police in January 2018. The incident took the lives of nearly 59 kar sevaks.
