Woman dies in lamington-eating contest

A 60-year-old woman suffered a horrific death in Australia while competing in an event eating as many lamingtons as possible. The woman had a seizure when she was taking her last bite at a hotel in Queensland to mark Australia Day on Sunday. Contestants had to speed-eat the lamingtons, a sponge cake covered in chocolate and desiccated coconut. The woman was given CPR and taken to a nearby hospital but later died.
