A tsunami warning has been issued in the Indian Ocean region after a 6.1-magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of East Timor on Friday. According to reports, a tsunami advisory group said that the 6.1-magnitude earthquake might possibly generate a tsunami. After the 6.1 magnitude quake hit the coast of Timor, the US Geological Survey confirmed that there were no reports of damage.
